The short version: Calcyard works entirely in your browser and collects no personal data — only standard, privacy-friendly usage statistics described below.

1. What we collect — almost nothing
Calcyard is a collection of client-side calculators. The measurements you enter are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers. We do not operate accounts, logins, newsletters, comment systems or contact forms that store submissions.
2. Analytics
We use privacy-preserving aggregate analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that counts page views without setting cookies, without fingerprinting, and without storing IP addresses or individual identifiers. We can see that “the mulch calculator got 400 views from the US yesterday” — never who viewed it.
We also use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to understand which pages and calculators are useful. GA4 sets first-party cookies (named _ga, _ga_*, lifetime up to 2 years) and sends usage data (pages visited, approximate region, device and browser type) to Google. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or opt out entirely with Google’s official opt-out add-on; see Google’s privacy policy. Where required by law, these cookies are only set after your consent.
The site is available in several languages. When your browser's preferred language is one we don't serve yet, the page anonymously records that two-letter language code (for example “it” for Italian) so we know which languages to add. It contains no identifiers, cookies or IP linkage, and your choice is remembered so it is sent at most once per browser.
3. Advertising
Calcyard is funded by advertising. Ads are served by third-party networks, which may use cookies or similar technologies to measure and personalize ads subject to your choices and their own policies. Where required by law (e.g., the EU/UK GDPR and ePrivacy rules), a consent mechanism is shown before non-essential cookies are set. We never send the values you type into calculators to advertisers or anyone else — ad code runs separately from calculation code, which runs only on your device.
4. Server logs
Our hosting and CDN (Cloudflare) maintain standard short-lived technical logs (IP address, request time, user agent) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are not used to profile visitors and are retained only as long as operationally necessary.
5. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Because we do not collect or sell personal data, there is no personal data to access, export, correct or delete. If you believe any personal data has reached us, contact [email protected] and we will investigate and respond promptly. California residents: we do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
6. Children
Calcyard is a general-audience tool site and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
7. Local storage
Calculator pages may save your last-entered values in your browser's local storage so the page is still filled in when you return. This stays on your device, is never transmitted, and clears when you clear site data (the “Reset” button on any calculator clears it too).
8. Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we'll update this page and the date above. Material changes will be reflected before they take effect.
